Hydraulic Systems
Through its own operating structures and using its own resources and at times external partners, STE energy realizes and builds mechanical and hydraulic systems to be used in hydropower plants and in pumping stations, as it also has the qualifications with the major utilities.
Refurbishment
STE energy restores, modernises and enhances hydroelectric installations by designing and executing:
- total or partial reconstruction of the central structure, including possible conservative restoration and disassembly
- total renewal and/or review of penstocks (i.e. inlet manifolds or turbine exhaust manifolds)
- replacement and adaptation of new electro-mechanical equipment
- special civilian production in critical hydraulic conditions (i.e. underwater concrete casting)
- turnkey supply and installation of new equipment
New Structures
Over 10 years' experience in civil engineering works for hydroelectric installations allows STE energy to operate both using its own structures and resources and with consolidated partners of proven reliability.
STE energy follows each phase of the project - from preliminary design to realisation - when building barrages and protection works in river-beds, penstocks, intake channels and outlet ditches, as well as installing mechanical and electrical systems.
Projects range from high rated head systems to systems realised on large hydraulic by-passes with a low rated head, which STE energy has researched and to which it has applied specific building technology providing for excellent interaction between the electro-mechanical machinery chosen and the current hydrogeological condition.
Depending on the requirements, solutions implemented include well point, Larssen sheet piles, baffles, shafts, jet grouting, bearing piles, etc.
